Kuvempu University set up its Department of studies in Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) in 1991, in the Kuvempu University post-graduate centre at Davangere. Institute of Management Studies and Research (IMSR), Kuvempu University was established in the green sprawling campus at Jnanasahyadri, Shankaraghatta in the year 2005. Institute was established with the vision to build a most sought after institutes among the B.Schools in the country for pursuing Management Education. Being located in a non-polluted green campus, Institute has been imparting quality management education at post-graduation level to develop ethical business leaders. In a short span of its establishment, Institute has secured good ranking in the B-Schools survey conducted by The Week, The Deccan Chronicles, The Knowledge Review, in the country. Considering the growing demand for H.R professionals by industry and young graduates, Institute has started a specialised course Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management (M.B.A-HRM) in the year 2012. Institute provides an opportunity for all-round development of the students through multiple pedagogy involves traditional and modern art of learning technologies and outbound programs. Institute has a strong base of Alumni support in placement services and curriculum design. Institute of Management Studies and Research (IMSR), presently offers M.B.A, M.B.A(HRM), as full time programs and Ph.D. program in both full and part time basis. Institute has qualified teachers, and well equipped smart classrooms with wi-fi connections supported by virtual and physical library. The Department has been organizing seminars, work-shops, conferences and regularly invites experts from industry and institutions to deliver specialized knowledge and train the students.
