Welcome to Kuvempu University.
The Department of Chemistry is newly started from the academic year 2012-13. The course is started in new P.G campus to provide trained and skilled man power in chemistry for ever growing chemical industries in India. The department offers Ph. D, M. Phil., and M. Sc. programme. The faculty in the department have actively engaged in research and have produced 24 Ph.D and two M.Phil students. Published more than 110 research papers in reputed various international journals. The faculties visited countries like England and South Korea for post doctoral research. The department strongly encourages M.Sc. students to get actively involved in research activities; special training to appear for CSIR-UGC NET and GATE exams is the important activities to deserve them to get high lucrative scientific job opportunities. The research projects from funding agencies like UGC on anticancer research are being carried out.
